The New Year is an invitation to look behind and ahead in tandem, and thanks to you, we have much to celebrate and much to look forward to.

Older kids took the initiative to mentor younger kids.

Thanks to generous donors funding the completion of two multipurpose rooms, we brought 50 new rescued kids to live and grow up at The Children’s Home.

These two shared plenty of giggles over meals.

These three were assigned to kitchen clean-up chores together and quickly became inseparable.

Multipurpose rooms at The Children's Home are places of learning and so much more. They're built for everything from test-taking and studying to game-playing and sleeping. In these rooms, children thrive in community, discover their favorite subject, and forge lifelong friendships. As donors fund the completion of more multipurpose rooms, we're able to house and serve even more rescued kids.

SOUTH ASIA TEAM
Your prayers and giving helped keep our team in the field safe and supported even amidst the incredible difficulty of continued religious persecution in their area.

DONOR HOSTED EVENTS
In 2022, donors across four states hosted events in homes and venues to spread awareness and raise support for the rescued kids. They introduced hundreds of people to the CFC story and raised over $400,000.

CLEAR PIPES FOR YEARS TO COME
In the Spring, our unforeseen plumbing issues at The Children’s Home were in crisis, but people across the country came together to clear or replace over 1,100 pipes and safeguard the plumbing system for generations to come.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Thanks to you, an unprecedented 712 Child Freedom students began vocational training in a field of their choice in 2022. Graduates go on to work in quality jobs that give them the freedom to live successful and independent adult lives. Most graduates choose to sacrificially give back, allowing us to help more kids and moving us closer and closer to self-sustainability.

ACCELERATING VOCATIONAL TRAINING
If we were only to offer these services and send kids off into the world when they age out of our programs, they would quickly become vulnerable again and be subject to a high likelihood of drug abuse and suicide. Our vocational training program powerfully combats this by preparing rescued kids for their futures and equipping them with valuable skills. When they're old enough, students at The Children's Home choose their own vocation to be trained in, like small engine repair, tailoring, or construction. Graduates go on to work in quality jobs making ten times more than what their parents ever did. These positions give grads the freedom to live successful and independent adult lives. Most graduates choose to give back sacrificially, allowing us to help more kids and moving us closer and closer to self-sustainability. Last year, we graduated 712 students from this program, and this year we're working to send even more.

HOUSING EXPANSION
The Children's Home in South Asia is currently at full capacity (1,250 kids) based on the number of rooms that are fully functional. Thankfully, there are unfinished rooms onsite that, when finished, will increase that capacity and allow us to care for more rescued children (the government has approved for up to 2,000). We currently have 17 unfinished multi-purpose rooms waiting to serve as classrooms by day and dormitories for older boys at night. Each room requires $15,000 for electrical, flooring, furniture, classroom supplies, and a teacher's salary for one year. This year, we're focusing on raising funds to complete these rooms, and when we do, we'll be able to bring 600 new rescued kids to live, grow up, and prepare for bright futures at The Children's Home.
TRAVEL
In typical years, we send at least one of our American team members to the field each quarter to meet with our South Asia team and check on all you make possible for the rescued kids. This system allows us to check on the work in person, conduct audits if necessary, and bring back stories and photos that help us share the CFC story. Over the last few years, however, we've faced roadblocks that have prevented us from those routine trips. First, COVID closed down travel, and then, our South Asia team faced extreme religious persecution, that any visits from our American team would worsen.
It's been challenging, but our team in South Asia has worked relentlessly to get us the updates, photos, videos, and stories we needed. On top of that, our donor's patience as our team's correspondence across oceans rather than in person delayed regular updates. Now, God has opened the doors for our American staff of five to visit the rescued kids and our South Asia Team in February 2023! We'll be conducting interviews, gathering tons of new content, and reporting back to you on the incredible work and life change you are making possible!
