Ending Slavery

With your help, we’re working to end child slavery in India through rescue operations, long-term care, and by ending generational poverty through education and vocational training. Our work in India focuses on three main areas:

FREEDOM

FREEDOM

FAMILY

FUTURE

New life for these children begins with physical freedom from slavery in rock quarries, sex trafficking, brick factories, human sacrifice, and much more. Our partners in India risk their lives to rescue children from these desperate situations and bring them into safety. Once children are rescued, your support helps them find freedom in every aspect of their lives.

After they are rescued, our partners surround former slaves with a family of caretakers who love and care for them.  They gain brothers and sisters who have been through similar abuse and are able to heal together. These children live at a large children’s home in Andhra Pradesh, India where they regain the childhood that was once stolen from them.

Your partnership brings these children more than just physical liberation.  It brings them full lives.  The rescued children encounter God, discover purpose, and learn that they are valuable and deeply loved.  Here, they begin healing from their pasts and dreaming for their futures

Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.

In rural India, literacy is single most valuable tool to find freedom and build a bright future.  Most rescued children never even dreamed of attending school before our partners brought them out of slavery and so they never thought they had a future. Through your partnership, Child Freedom Coalition is bringing the rescued kids new life through education.  Every child in our care receives a basic education that gives him or her literacy and life skills to succeed.

In addition to a basic education, older students have the opportunity to pursue vocational training and apprenticeships.   This means that when they graduate from our care, they have chances that their parents never had. They are equipped to live free from the shackles of poverty.  Meaningful work means these young adults can choose their futures. With hard work, all of our graduates have the ability to be successful and independent adults. Education breaks the cycle of generational poverty.

When these young adult’s stories transform from hopeless to hopeful through meaningful work, an amazing thing happens.  After graduating, the former slaves give back to our partners so that they can rescue and care for more children. Armed with a passion to right the wrongs done to others, they voluntarily and sacrificially give back so that others can know liberation.  This work is on a path to sustainability and we know that one day, it will be fully funded by successful working adults who were once children trapped in slavery.
