In June, we witnessed one of the most significant moments in our history—the rescue of 4,989 children from slavery.
As you know, that rescue included 320 pregnant girls. Pregnancy is difficult under the best circumstances—and for these girls, it could be an especially dark and frightening time. To help them feel a sense of home and stability, they’ll be moving in with safe, loving families near the girls' home. These family settings will offer the normalcy of daily life and the comfort of relational care as they begin to heal and prepare to welcome their babies.
The home we’ve previously used to care for girls with deep trauma or pregnancies is currently at full capacity. To meet the growing need, we’re working on a long-term care facility that will provide stability and safety for these young mothers and their babies.
A generous donor has already provided a down payment on a building-in-progress, and once completed in 2026, it will have space for up to 240 girls!
Many people have asked about adoption. While we aren’t currently able to support international adoption for a variety of reasons, many of these babies will be adopted by loving Christian families in the region—families who long for children of their own. Every one of these girls and their babies deserves the chance to heal and grow in safety.
In the wake of the rescue, we told you about 18 girls were hospitalized due to the severity of the abuse they endured. 10 have now returned to base camp. Eight remain in the hospital. Please continue praying for their physical, spiritual and emotional healing.
Right now, the children are safe at Base Camp, where hundreds of staff, volunteers, and members of the military are providing round-the-clock care. Group counseling happens twice a day. Some children are still silent. Others have started to open up, and their bravery is contagious.
As the children receive care at base camp, the members of the military who are helping them are shocked at the scale of the abuse to these children. The rescue operation has opened the eyes of many who were previously unaware of this ongoing tragedy and has brought new allies into the fight to rescue and restore children. We’re encouraged by this growing awareness as we continue to pray and work toward safety and security for every child and every team member involved. Our team in South Asia is adamant on protecting the location of Base Camp so no photos will be available until after the kids are relocated into permanent housing.
THE QUARRY OWNERS HAVE HIRED PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS TO FIND THE CHILDREN.
We’re praying, and asking you to pray, that God blinds their efforts and protects both our team and the children. This is a battle, but God is our defender.
This rescue has caused us to grow quickly, but by God’s grace, we’re scaling, not scrambling.
Our vision remains the same: to provide every child in our care with safety, education, and the tools they need to thrive.
That includes meeting daily needs, offering school and vocational training, and preparing each child to enter adulthood with confidence. To do that, we’re building more homes. Each one is modeled after the self-sustaining structure of our original home. Over the coming years, we envision five homes like this serving children across the region.
Your generosity, along with the friends and family you’ve brought into this mission, has made it possible to provide everything these rescued children need right now. Because of you, the $1 million match is completed, every child is receiving care, and the next phase is already underway! Your generosity is building freedom, family, and a future for these kids one life at a time.
HERE’S WHAT’S AHEAD
New Children’s Home
We’re actively working to secure a facility that could house up to 2,000 children. It would give them a place to grow, learn, and heal. The site holds incredible promise but will require major renovations, including dormitories, kitchens, classrooms, and more. Costs are still being finalized, but our hope is to begin with a long-term lease. Securing that lease and funding the necessary upgrades are next on our list. Please pray with us as we take steps toward making this space a true home.
Girls’ Home
Thanks to a generous donor, we’ve already placed a down payment on a dedicated home for rescued girls and their babies! To complete the purchase by next summer, we need to raise an additional $1 million. This home will provide long-term care and stability for some of the most vulnerable.
Essential Needs
Every rescued child will be with us for the foreseeable future, and it costs about $1,000 per child per year to provide the care they need. That includes food, housing, teachers, school materials, medical and psychological care, and everything else a child needs to grow up safe and strong.
Operational Needs
Our 100% Model ensures every child receives the full impact of your gift, and every donor gets total transparency. Every dollar you give for rescue, care, and restoration goes straight to the children. No wondering where it went. This is possible because a small circle of visionary donors covers our operating costs. As our work grows, we’re seeking new partners to strengthen our stateside operations by expanding infrastructure, fairly compensating staff, and adding new positions to meet the rapid expansion in South Asia.
This isn’t a short-term push. It’s a long-term shift in our scope and impact.
Our team in South Asia is already doing what many thought impossible. Our U.S. operations are maturing, focused, and ready for what’s next. We’re watching a miracle in motion. We believe this is not just the result of hard work, but the beginning of something only God can finish.
Thank you for being a part of it.
