In 2013, a group of girls who received training as seamstresses started working in a factory. In their first month, each girl made more than their family of origin earned in a year. Those girls started giving back, and they brought an incredible dimension to this ministry all their own.

Today, 2751 girls have gone through similar training, started building homes for themselves, and contributing financially and as volunteers to the organization that rescued them.

Right now, 173 girls are ready to start training, and that costs about $2000 per girl. The girls that go this program typically give back an average of $50 a month to the children’s home. Funding a single scholarship has a breakeven return on investment in an average of 40 months.

This model means all our homes are all on a path to self-sustainability as grads receive great training, start jobs, and generously & sacrificially give back.

The best part is girls who start as tailors and clothing designers have a launch pad to pursue bigger dreams as nurses, teachers, and more. These girls are driven to capitalize on their freedom, and inspired by those ahead of them and behind them, they leave long hours at work to pursue what excites them. So many of our grads have gone from factories into new fields because they forged a path towards something they wanted. That all starts with a scholarship.
