320 pregnant girls ages 13-16 were rescued from sexual abuse & labor trafficking in June. Today, some of them are getting close to delivery. Girls are being moved to a safe home where they’ll start their lives as moms. Hospitalized Girls.
Some of these girls want to raise their babies. Others will give them up because they can’t get over the association with their abusers. We’ll place those babies with families who want children and can raise them in safety. All the girls and babies have a chance at a life of safety and security. For the long-term, we’ve identified a place where these girls can live near to the original children’s home, and we’re ready to make a downpayment for it.
For the rest of the kids, they are in a secret, high-security “base camp” where they are receiving counseling and their daily needs. We’re using this time to research their backgrounds to find out if they have families and where they might be. This process takes a long time, and we are proceeding very carefully.
